i have absolutely no idea how many people who know me in real life read this shit. i can think of three people id call best friends that im positive have never looked. more than once acquaintances have gotten drunk and told me they check 10 times a day…
i have extreme law school guilt. (this should not be confused with law school regret.) it makes me ill to think of what my parents dumped into my law degree and makes me feel both sad and spoiled but honored to think that they believed in me enough to support it. until about 48 hours ago i wasnt sure id ever get on the path to making enough money (…someday) to make the whole thing worth it.
i have a strong feeling that the next nice guy i meet and am actually attracted to, ill marry. this isnt that bold of a statement because i never meet or am attracted to nice guys. all shitheads, all the time.
for a smart person, i have put myself in some fucking ridiculously dumb situations in the last year. i really want to be done doing that.
i have had nightmares about: having arms the size of my thighs, being proposed to with an ugly ring and laughing in a guys face and eating a dozen doughnuts while bawling crying not being able to stop. i dont know exactly what kind of single girl body image issue shit this is, but it happens.

it’s a private firm job
the firm is based outside of kentucky but has offices in louisville and lexington
i’ll be in the louisville office
the work is in my general interest area (healthcare litigation)
theyre going to pay me real money (as opposed to clerking, which has had many priceless perks but laughably small pay)
NO. MINIMUM. BILLABLES. (yes law nerds, you read that correctly)
i’m starting early july
despite life busting into warp speed, i am pleased & excited. to put it mildly.
